Water system networks run along El Retiro's streets,controlled by sectorization valves, hydrants and water-quality monitoring points to check water parameters.This system covers nearly 100% of the urban area, whose residents have micro-meters.

One line goes along the main highway leading to condominiums located outside the urban area. In the last two years, EPM has made major investments in El Retiro and San Nicolás valley, to modernize and expand coverage by this service.
